Habit AI is built with privacy at its core. All your personal data, including habits, progress, and settings, is stored locally on your device. We do not have servers, cloud storage, or databases. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

The following information is stored locally on your device when you use the App:

  • Profile Information: Username, display name, and any other profile details you choose to provide (stored on your device only)
  • Habit Data: Habits you create, goals you set, tasks you complete, progress tracking, notes, and completion status (stored on your device only)
  • App Preferences: Settings, themes, notification preferences, and customization choices (stored on your device only)
  • API Keys: Your Google Gemini API key required for AI features (stored locally on your device and encrypted, never sent to us)

Information We May Collect

We may collect only the following limited, anonymous information to improve the app:

  • Anonymous Crash Reports: If the app crashes, anonymous technical diagnostics may be sent to help us fix bugs (no personal data included)
  • Anonymous Usage Statistics: General usage patterns like which features are used most often (no personally identifiable information)

Note: We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or any information that could identify you personally.

How We Store Your Data

100% Local Storage

All your personal data, including habits, progress, notes, and settings, is stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage. We do not operate servers, cloud databases, or any external data storage systems. Your information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

  • PIN Protection: Optional PIN-based access control to prevent unauthorized access

Google Gemini AI

We use Google's Gemini AI API to generate personalized habit plans, weekly analytics, and adaptive recommendations.

  • You provide your own API key
  • Your API key is stored locally and encrypted on your device
  • Only habit-related data (goals, progress, tasks) is sent to Google's API
  • No personally identifiable information is included in API requests

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to your personal information. We may only disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not retain your personal information on our servers. Your data will remain on your device until you:

  • Manually delete it through the app settings
  • Uninstall the application
  • Clear the app's data through your device settings

Anonymous crash reports and usage statistics may be retained for up to 90 days to help us improve the app.

Children's Privacy

Habit AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our systems.
